Join Repair the World and Detroit Jews for Justice for Painting For Protest on January 14, 2018, the weekend of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We will dive deep into the historic role of protest art in social movements, nosh and sip on refreshments, and get our hands dirty in the creation of our own protest signs in preparation for the MLK Day March on Monday, January 15th.  You will be encouraged you to create protest signs with social justice messages that speak to you. We will also collectively create protest signs for Detroit Jews for Justice’s current campaign work for water justice in the city. We welcome you to join Repair & DJJ the next day, January 15, at the 2018 Detroit MLK March and Rally to use your sign! All are welcome to join. Check out all of the MLK Weekend service opportunities with Repair the World Detroit!
